Baneasa Business & Technology Park
Baneasa Business & Technology Park is a business park built on a 12 ha plot of land that offers a working environment to the most modern standards of Romania. With a total area of 250, 000 m2 , Baneasa Business & Technology Park will become one of the most important locations for growing multinational and local company headquarters and a meeting point for Bucharet’s business environment. Located alongside DN1, half way between Henri Coanda international airport and the city center of Bucharest, the business park represents an important part of the Baneasa project.
Pre-existing situation
When the first phase of Baneasa Business & Technology Park was built, it was obvious that such an important complex in Romania needed state-of-the-art security protecting it from possible threats. The main objective was to find the perfect security solution in order to protect the employees, equipment and intellectual property. Specifically four security systems were required: intrusion detection, fire detection, access control and video surveillance. After a thorough investigation of different platforms and their functionalities, UTC Fire & Security equipment was selected to provide the Business & Technology Park with its required security installation, due to their product excellence. Not much later, together with the cooperation of S.C. SSI Import Export as an installer and Siel Invest as authorized distributor, the implementation of the security system could start.
UTC Fire & Security solution
With the ATS Master system, UTC Fire & Security offered a truly integrated intrusion detection and access control system for the Baneasa Business & Technology Park. This robust and scalable and reliable system offers a cost-efficient way of managing this two security application through the same system. At Baneasa, this ATS master solution covers hundreds of doors and operates over 200 PIR detector, 150 door and window contacts and 280 glass break detectors. The ATS access solution is provided to limit access to authorized personnel only, to any access point of the building. The fully addressable FP2864 platform is in place to cover the need for fire detection. Operating on diverse control panels, this fire detection system operates more than 1700 smoke detectors, 250 heat detectors and manual call points. Digital recording, with high resolution recording facilities, is incorporated in the Landlords Security central monitoring system. Furthermore, two CO panels, connecting over 40 CO detectors, are installed in the parking area. With this fully integrated security system in place, Baneasa Business & Technology Park can rest assured that the entire premisis is protected to the fullest.
